Bobby Wilson
Bob spent most of his formative years playing in rock bands in and around the central belt of Scotland. Moving to Helensburgh in the early 90s teamed up with Ray and Roger in St Columba praise band.
A dedicated song writer with 100s of songs to his credit continued with his song writing ministry as a founder member of Damascus Road. He can’t remember how long ago it was when he ‘stole his sisters’ guitar because he wanted to play like Jimi Hendrix, but his passion for writing gospel songs and telling the ‘gospel story’ has fuelled his playing, performing and writing which has continued to develop over four decades and is comfortable playing most musical genres. When he’s not writing songs and playing guitar with Damascus Road he plays with a local bluegrass band ‘the Rough and Ready Bluegrass Brothers’ and windsurfs on the Clyde. But not at the same time!
